Procedures & Training

The Procedures and Training Team is responsible for the development of the procedural framework and for fulfilling the training needs of the Joint Electoral Management Board in respect of voter registration and polling in Afghanistan.
The main objectives are to produce procedural framework which will govern the electoral process and to fulfil the operational training needs of the JEMB through the production of training materials and the development and implementation of training programmes. The Team works, in cooperation with other relevant Sections, to develop procedural manuals, handbooks and forms for the voter registration and polling processes, the accreditation of Political Party Agents, Monitoring Committees and Observers. The Section also organises capacity building courses and skills development for the National staff of the Interim Afghan Electoral Commission.
