IEC Operation Committee Reviewed the Polling Centers Evaluation Plan

The Operational Committee recently identified and categorized the duties and responsibilities of the IEC Departments. The Committee also bright the required amendments in the way of entering data to the IEC Data Center as well as in procuring required materials for field operations and providing field reports. It is notable that the Admin and Finance Committee has also launched work on the IEC framework.

Seventh FEMBoSA meeting held in Maldives

The Seventh FEMBoSA meeting organized in Bandus Island of Male capital of Maldives from 2-4 August 2016 with participation of delegation from Afghanistan, Bangaladish, Unan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka in rule of Technology for better conducting of elections.

In this annual meeting the IEC Afghanistan delegation that were consist of Dr. Abdul Rahman Hotaki IEC acting Chairman and Deputy , Mr. Abdul Rahim Nawakhtyar Head of External Relations i.e and Mr. Zemari Qalamyar head of Field Operations had active presence.

The Region Workshop on Electoral Dispute Resolution (EDR) & Electoral Justice (EJ) conducted in Kathmandu, Nepal

Prof. Mohammad Husain Garziwani, Commissioner of the Independent Election Commission (IEC) of Afghanistan and Dr. Ahmad Jawed Habibi, the Deputy Chief Electoral Officer of the IEC was invited and actively participated in a regional workshop under the title of Electoral Dispute Resolution (EDR) and Electoral Justice (EJ), conducted on July 20-21, 2016 in Katmandu, Nepal. The workshop was organized and conducted by the Election Commission of Nepal.

IEC Participants in the Role of Technology in Election Management training at IIIDEM

Kabul, Afghanistan, November 18, 2015 - The training (Role of Technology in Election Management), is one of the initiatives of India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) of the Election Commission of India (ECI) held in New Delhi of India with the financial Support of UNDP. In this ten days training the participants have come from Election Management Bodies of 12 Asian Countries. The aim of the training is to see how much the technology can reduce the electoral costs and how much it can affect the accuracy and transparency of elections.
