IEC technical team has shared their findings with IEC management in a meeting from (373) registered complaints on Sunday 25th February 2018. The reports of technical team indicated that some of the complaints are practical and some are not which IEC will proceed for necessary arrangements after approval.
Mr. Mahzullah Daulaty visited the IEC recruitment committee and willing for information on the process and challenges of the committee. Committee members explained that 23 posts have been short listed and uploaded in IEC website, the committee persuaded the transparency of the recruitment process and will share their concerns and difficulties with IEC management. As well as added that the committee is consist of IARCSC representatives, Electoral Observers representatives, civil society, gender, HR and related department of IEC. The committee said that we will perform based on the law and related regulation and procedure.
MOU has been signed between UNDP and Japan embassy with presence of IEC Chairman at Japan embassy in Kabul for support of electoral process on 21 February 2018. Dr. Abdul Badi Sayad Chairman of IEC as of his presence in the ceremony appreciates always cooperation of Japan and specially thanked for $1.13 million financial support for electoral process.
Economy Minister Dr. Mustafa Mastor met IEC management and discussed on the criteria of good government and elections today 27th February 2018. IEC management indicates on their technical preparation for conducting of upcoming elections and added that there are some issues like specifying administrative and population for conducting of district elections and security situation within the districts.
